Last year, we lost the icon in the world of golf with
the passing of Arnold Palmer - otherwise known as
The King. I owe Arnie a huge debt of gratitude for
making it possible for an artist like me to make a
living painting golf.

My painting of the 12th hole at Laurel Valley
exemplifies why Arnie chose to stay close to his
roots and home town of Latrobe (only 10 miles
away). Arnie said it was where he "felt most
comfortable."

Just by looking at the beauty of the scene, we can
understand why he felt that way.

Rest in peace, Arnie.

"Tom Kite's Bunker Shot..."
This painting features
Tom Kite hitting a bunker
shot on the first hole of
Firestone Country Club in the
1985 World Series of Golf.
Back then, spectators had
to use cardboard box
periscopes to see the action
on the putting green!

"Approach at #3"
This is a painting I did of Gordon Brand Jr.
hitting his approach shot to the 3rd hole at
Firestone Country Club during the 1985
World Series of Golf.
"Duel at #1"
This painting features Firestone's 1st hole on the
South Course during the 1985 World Series of Golf
"Dream Wave"
There's a great place to surf that is relatively unknown except to locals
in Erie, Pa. It's Beach 9 otherwise known as Pine Tree; and,
on a hot
summer night, I dreamed of surfing a huge wave there and getting
barreled right next to the legendary lighthouse on Presque Isle!
Check it out and email me if you wish to sign up for a giclee canvas
print of the painting. I'm ready to reproduce it!
